Unlike pure computing degrees focused on software, science, and mathematics, this program offers broader engineering skills, including hardware and computing applications in electronic systems. Drawing on expertise from York's Intelligent Systems and Nano-science Research Group, graduates emerge equipped to excel as designers, researchers, or managers in the dynamic field of computer engineering. All courses include an optional industry year before the final year, providing workplace experience and career insights. The School assists with placements, supported by regular academic visits and meetings.
