The BA (Hons) Fine Art programme is a studio-focused course that fosters diverse creative methodologies, offering two pathways: Fine Art, which enhances skills in mediums like painting, sculpture, installation, drawing, print, and digital media; or Art and Visual Culture, which integrates artistic production with theoretical analysis through written work.Located at the prestigious Spike Island contemporary art venue in Bristol, as part of UWE Bristol's City Campus, the course provides a dynamic creative atmosphere, complimentary studio space, and various professional opportunities. Supported by experienced practitioner staff, students showcase their portfolios at the final-year Creative Industries Degree Show, gain recognition in national competitions like New Contemporaries, and pursue careers as artists, curators, educators, or advance to postgraduate studies.
