About the course

This course explores significant periods in UK and world history to provide insight into today's context. Students have the option of a year abroad at a foreign university, along with access to internships and placements. It offers excellent training in key skills such as problem-solving, communication, research methods, and interpretation, enhancing employability and fostering a deeper understanding of the past to inform the present. Ranked 2nd in Scotland for History by The Times/Sunday Times University Ranking 2024, the program does not award Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), which is required for teaching in state schools in England or Wales.
