Our BA (Hons) or BSc (Hons) in Education (Secondary) enables you to learn from world-leading academics and teachers with strong partnerships in local schools, providing access to cutting-edge practices and research throughout your studies.This four-year degree offers a pioneering, personalised approach to professional development, allowing you to build confidence and critically reflect on your skills—unlike the one-year PGDE route. You will graduate with a research-informed qualification, supported by our education research ranking third in Scotland for outputs in the REF 2021, with 100% of impact and environment rated world-leading or internationally excellent. We also collaborate with Forth Valley College for chemistry and physics courses. The program is accredited by the General Teaching Council for Scotland and provides qualified teacher status (QTS) for secondary level in England and Wales.
