Our specialized computer science degree equips you to become a highly skilled expert in cyber security and forensic computing, protecting software and hardware from malicious threats. The program provides a strong theoretical foundation in computer science, combined with practical expertise in areas such as network security and ethical hacking, ensuring you are well-prepared for industry roles upon graduation.We emphasize hands-on cyber security training, supported by advanced university facilities, including a dedicated laboratory with the latest equipment and software, such as the law enforcement version of EnCase. This enables investigations in PC-based and mobile forensics, enhanced by guest lectures from police and industry professionals. The course structure includes core modules across years: Year 1 covers software development and networking; Year 2 focuses on ethical hacking and cyber operations; Year 3 involves a supported industry placement with reflective reporting; and Year 4 includes advanced topics like IT infrastructure security and biometrics. Upon completion, you earn a BSc (Hons) in Cyber Security.
