About the course

This Economics and Business Management degree equips students to analyse and comprehend global economies by integrating economic principles with management modules from the Southampton Business School. Students develop key skills for effective business management and enhance employability through a Bloomberg Markets Concepts qualification. The programme offers flexibility, allowing individuals to select optional modules aligned with their interests and career goals. In the first year, participants learn to use Bloomberg trading terminals in the Financial Lab, further building practical expertise.Additionally, opportunities include undertaking a year in employment, participating in a Student Innovation Project for hands-on experience, studying abroad for a semester, or obtaining exemptions from professional accounting bodies and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. This structure supports personalised development and real-world application.
