About the course

The Performance concentration is designed for theatre majors aiming to build a career as professional actors. Through small-class studio courses and productions in the University Theatre, the program equips talented performers with a strong foundation in acting, movement, voice and speech, improvisation, and musical theatre. Both the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of General Studies (B.G.S.) in Performance require 40 credit hours in the major. In addition to KU Core requirements, the B.A. includes further mandates in foreign language, mathematics, and laboratory experience.
