The Greek program involves studying classical Greek language, literature, and ancient civilization, including visits to archaeological sites and museums in Greece. Depending on selected options, students will read works by Homer, other Greek poets, Athenian tragedies and comedies, orators, historians, and the philosopher Plato, while exploring Greek political and social history, philosophy, religion, and art.The History of Art program examines how and why paintings, sculptures, buildings, and designs in various media are created. Students benefit from resources like the University Library and Archives, The Hunterian museum with its world-famous Hunter, Whistler, and Mackintosh collections, and Kelvin Hall. In the third year, a grant supports visits to relevant museums, galleries, and buildings.
