The French program involves studying a key European and international language, along with the cultures it has influenced globally. Students can select from a diverse range of topics, including French comics, songs, travel writing, medieval France, and contemporary history.The Italian program explores the language and culture of a major EU country that has significantly shaped Europe's political and artistic development. At Glasgow, Italian studies feature a long-standing teaching tradition, supported by excellent library resources, with instruction in small groups led mostly by native speakers to foster high fluency in written and spoken Italian.
