This course equips students to interpret visual imagery, including photography and design, as well as objects and practices, to understand contemporary and past societies. It also involves exploring the media, techniques, and historical contexts of artistic works, along with the terminology for their description, evaluation, and the institutions that present them.Students engage with modules that showcase a wide range of artistic and visual works, fostering critical analysis in historical and theoretical contexts. The campus integrates art, history, and culture through venues like the Exeter Northcott Theatre, The Bill Douglas Cinema Museum, Lemon Grove, Great Hall, and Roborough Studios.
