About the course

Our world is constantly evolving, and the MSci in Human Geography with a Year Abroad at UEA equips you to examine the human dimensions of these changes. You'll learn from leading researchers, participate in field trips to locations such as Devon, the Lake District, and Spain, and spend 9 to 12 months studying at partner institutions in North America, Australasia, or Europe. This program builds expertise in analysis, geographical information systems, and real-world applications, allowing you to collaborate with experts and organizations while tailoring your studies to focus on critical issues like climate change, biodiversity loss, urbanization, and public policy. Specializations include environmental, energy and society; political and economic geography; and cultural and historical geography.Through this degree, you'll gain transferable skills in critical thinking, data analysis, fieldwork, and policy writing, fostering a deep understanding of geographical, environmental, and sustainability challenges. Graduates are highly sought after in private and public sectors for their ability to deliver practical solutions, as exemplified by alumni like Jessica, now a Planner.
