About the course

This course is designed to develop highly skilled, dedicated, and empathetic speech and language therapists who deliver safe and effective care. Students will acquire in-depth knowledge of communication, eating, drinking, and swallowing difficulties, including their effects on clients' quality of life and family dynamics. They will learn to evaluate these issues and collaborate with individuals to enhance, sustain, or manage their abilities, enabling full participation in daily life.Throughout the integrated three-year program, participants will build team-working, clinical analysis, advanced communication, and research skills via university modules and placements, ensuring evidence-based practice. Assessments progressively integrate theory and practical experience in a supportive environment, fostered by a collaborative community of academics, peers, and other health professionals, preparing graduates for respectful, person-centred, inter-professional work.
