The course addresses the principles of modern computing technology, its role in helping to solve real-world problems and the critical issues affecting management.You will be equipped with skills that will enable you to develop, maintain, evaluate and manage computing systems in a range of organisations, typically in the context of IT departments.You will explore areas such as Programming, Database Design and Development, Professional Skill, Web Development, Business Information Systems and Computer Systems and Networks.You will also be able to select a optional modules which aligns with state-of-the-art research or showcase current advances in computing such as Strategic Information Systems Management, Business Process Analytics, Internet of Things Systems and Applications and Social, Sustainable & Ethical Computing.Given the variety of applications of computing technology, as a graduate of this course, you will have access to a variety of jobs, for example, database administration, technical support, business analyst, software and web developmer, and IT project management.
