Health in Social Science, MA (Hons)

This programme offers an in-depth exploration of health, illness, and care through the perspectives of social sciences, aiming to analyse patterns of disease and wellness at local, national, and global levels. It draws on disciplines such as geography, sociology, psychology, ethics, public health, and nursing studies to build a comprehensive understanding.Additionally, the curriculum examines how individuals, communities, and cultures interpret health experiences via fields like marketing, counselling, health promotion, and cultural studies. The programme also addresses health and social care provision, while providing training in professional skills including active listening and leadership development.
