This course is available for September or January intakes and prepares students to become children's nurses, caring for infants, children, young people, and their families across various healthcare settings. It emphasizes a holistic, evidence-based approach, addressing contemporary health issues with sensitivity and compassion. Students spend 50% of the program in theoretical learning, covering topics like child development, family-centered care, and safeguarding, and 50% in practical placements in settings such as children's wards and neonatal units. The curriculum integrates advanced technology, simulation labs, and blended teaching by experienced nurses, with service users contributing to module development. Financial support includes a non-repayable £5,000 annual grant, plus potential reimbursement for placement-related expenses. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and pursue diverse careers in nursing, leadership, research, and more. Full attendance is required.
