About the course

This course is presently delivered by Confetti, with teaching transitioning to the Nottingham School of Art & Design (NSA&D) from September 2025; however, course content and learning outcomes will remain unchanged. This commercially-oriented music degree, developed in partnership with industry experts, equips aspiring professionals with essential skills for careers in the music sector. Students gain hands-on experience through industry connections, real-world projects, and access to facilities like Confetti's live event spaces, including Metronome, fostering development in talent discovery, business setup, marketing, PR, publishing, intellectual property, live events, recording, and distribution.Practical application occurs via live projects, such as collaborations with Confetti's record label, Denizen, and insights from industry leaders during events like the annual Industry Week. Key modules include The Music Business, Marketing & PR, Content Creation Practice, Economics and Enterprise, Event Management and Production, and Your Music Business Career, each building foundational knowledge through historical and contemporary case studies to prepare students for success.
