This design-led, studio-based course, affiliated with Interior Educators, equips students with practical skills and specialized knowledge in interior architecture from a renowned academic team. Through live and directed design projects, participants develop innovative proposals for existing buildings by investigating sites and managing the relationship between context and interior adaptations, supported by studies in design, communication, history, theory, construction technology, environment, and management.Students participate in site visits and a European study trip to enrich their learning, with the option of an additional study abroad year after year two. They build a creative portfolio of projects to explore personal interests, showcasing final work at exhibitions in Newcastle and London for maximum industry exposure. Successful graduates can progress to a professionally accredited PG Cert in Interior Architecture, meeting ARB Part I criteria and specializing in building adaptation and creative reuse.
