The Health and Social Care degree supports students in exploring, discussing, and evaluating social care services and health systems from diverse perspectives. It involves researching the history of health and welfare provision, critically examining professional roles, discussing service user involvement, and analyzing global health issues, government policies, and key topics such as disability, equality, social justice, mental health, and social determinants of health. The program also addresses challenges in partnership and inter-professional working to promote integrated care and higher standards.This knowledge prepares graduates for roles in various settings, including mental health support, domestic violence services, and public health teams, as well as for postgraduate or professional studies in related fields.
