Our MSci in Computer Science and Cyber Security equips students with in-demand skills in both fields. As computer technology permeates modern life—from advanced devices and software to data management—security remains integral to system design and maintenance.Delivered by world-leading experts in Loughborough's Department of Computer Science, the program offers comprehensive coverage of core computer science topics alongside specialized cyber security modules. Informed by cutting-edge research and industry partnerships, it teaches innovative techniques. The first two years mirror the BSc Computer Science curriculum, building foundations for advanced third-year studies in areas like networking, cyber risk management, digital forensics, and cryptography, plus a project and elective options. The fourth year emphasizes research through a thesis and group project. Students access state-of-the-art facilities, including five general computing labs and specialized setups for robotics, networking, HCI, and imaging.The BSc provides essential grounding and employable skills for diverse industries, while the MSci prepares for R&D, PhD studies, or leadership roles via in-depth research experience.
