Offering majors in journalism, sports media, media industries, creative and professional writing, or marketing, the program allows for personalized study paths tailored to individual career goals.Students engage in real-world reporting through Upstart and Upstart Live, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities including a three-camera television studio, professional radio spaces, audio recording studios, and digital editing suites. Under the guidance of seasoned instructors, participants experience live broadcasting as presenters, producers, and vision switchers. The curriculum also delves into the ethical and legal challenges facing journalists, examining emerging issues from advancing technologies while drawing on insights from diverse media experts.

What you will learn

Sports media prepares students for careers in both sports media, and media roles in sports organisations. Students complete  important industry-standard technical skills and core sports journalism subjects that focus on specific skills like sports commentary and broadcasting. Completing a stream of core subjects from sport management, to gain an insight on the unique business structure of sports organisations. They will be prepared to work for news organisations, independent publishers or sporting organisations.
