About the course

Public health involves the science and art of promoting health, protecting wellbeing, preventing illness, and extending life through organised societal efforts.The BA (Hons) in Public Health and Community Studies delivers foundational theoretical knowledge, professional skills, and practical experience for roles in health and social care. Students will examine health inequalities, government initiatives, social factors, institutional structures, management techniques, leadership, decision-making, and information management. Successful completion of Year 1 qualifies for a Higher National Certificate (HNC), and Year 2 for a Higher National Diploma (HND) in the field.
