About the course

The BSc Artificial Intelligence degree addresses the critical challenge of developing AI skills for global and national industries. It equips students with advanced expertise in deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, cloud computing, and generative AI, enabling the creation of intelligent software solutions that drive economic innovation and societal progress. Graduates are prepared for roles such as AI Engineer, Machine Learning Specialist, Data Scientist, and NLP Developer.The curriculum, supported by industry partners, builds a strong foundation in the first year through shared modules in programming, algorithms, data structures, computer systems, web development, and introductory AI projects. The second year focuses on specialized topics like AI and machine learning, NLP, computer vision, MLOps, backend development, object-oriented programming, and database engineering. In the final year, students explore deep neural networks, generative AI, cloud computing, ethics, and data storage, culminating in a capstone project addressing real-world AI challenges. An optional professional placement year between the second and third years offers practical experience, leveraging university networks for placements; fees apply at 20% of the full-time rate.
