Oral health is essential for overall well-being. Successful completion of the Bachelor of Health Science (Oral Health) enables registration as an oral health therapist with the Dental Council of New Zealand, allowing graduates to deliver assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and preventive care within the therapy scope of practice.The program provides hands-on training in simulation laboratories, clinical experience at AUT’s oral health clinic and community sites across Auckland and New Zealand, plus opportunities to engage in oral health promotion projects and gain practical workplace exposure in the field.
