About the course

The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, offered by the Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences, requires departmental approval for admission. Applicants must complete 120 credit hours with a minimum 2.00 GPA, including college writing and university mathematics requirements. General education involves ten courses across five foundational areas, with at least one laboratory science in the natural and mathematical sciences, and no more than two courses in the same discipline.Major requirements total 41 credit hours with grades of C or better, including core courses in human behavior, natural science psychology, statistics, research methods, bio-psychology, learning and cognition, and electives. A combined BA and MA program allows qualified students to apply during their junior or senior year, requiring a 3.00 GPA in psychology and statistics courses, GRE scores, recommendations, and transcripts. Students can apply up to 9 graduate credits toward both degrees and must complete the MA within three years.
