Police education is undergoing a national transformation to address the evolving demands of modern policing, acknowledging the multifaceted roles of officers today. This shift aims to develop essential skills such as communication, digital literacy, and critical thinking in future professionals.As a pioneering regional centre for Police Education, UWE Bristol is leading this change, with its College of Policing-licensed Degree in Professional Policing tailored to meet sector needs. Students will engage in evidence-based learning, supported by research-driven teaching, specialised facilities, and expert practitioners. Graduates can pursue roles as police constables, support staff, or positions within the criminal justice system, while benefiting from partnerships with Avon and Somerset Constabulary through activities like mentoring and ride-alongs.
