About the course

This degree develops proficiency in French, German, or Spanish alongside critical thinking and a strong foundation in business management. Gain practical skills and knowledge essential for global enterprises, with 96% of Modern Languages graduates entering employment or further study within 15 months of graduation (Graduate Outcomes 2020/2021). Over four years, students spend a year abroad on a workplace, teaching, or university placement, enhancing language abilities while exploring another culture's society. Business studies cover managerial decision-making, techniques for organisational change, and innovative thinking, with options to specialise in areas like translation, contemporary society, literature, film, anthropology, or history.Throughout the programme, core modules include Business in Society, Digital Technologies in Business, and language-specific courses such as Introduction to French and Francophone Studies. Assessment involves lectures, tutorials, coursework, individual and group projects, and independent learning, fostering expertise in globalisation, discourse analysis, and cultural ethnography.
