This degree equips students with mathematical and statistical methods to assess risk and uncertainty—skills essential for actuaries in insurance and finance. In the first year, you'll use Bloomberg trading terminals in our Financial Lab (FinLab) and study alongside peers from the related Mathematics and Actuarial Science programme.Accredited by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), the degree provides exemptions from core principles (see course page for details). Core modules include microeconomics, macroeconomics, and quantitative methods, with flexibility to select electives like international banking, risk management, or public economics, including options from other departments.
