About the course

Our BSc in Accounting and Finance with Year Abroad equips students for careers in accountancy firms, financial institutions, or multinational enterprises. Henley Business School ranks in the top 25 in the UK for Accounting and Finance (The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, 2024). The programme builds a strong foundation in core accounting and finance theories, technical skills, and the role of these disciplines in business and society. Students explore financial systems, capital markets, and practical applications through simulations and modelling, progressing to advanced modules in later years tailored to personal interests. In the final year, optional modules allow customisation, ensuring graduates possess transferable professional skills. The course includes a third-year study abroad option, such as at our Malaysia campus, offering cultural immersion and reduced fees, with all instruction in English and available bursaries. Core modules include Management Information, Introductory Securities and Markets, Introductory Finance/Trading Simulation I, Corporate Finance, and Advanced International Financial Reporting. Opportunities for credit from ICAEW, ACCA, and CIMA are also available. For details, visit the programme page.
