Psychology is the scientific study of mental processes, including the brain's structure and human perceptions, thoughts, feelings, and actions.In Years 1 and 3, students select optional modules (interdisciplinary in Year 1), exploring diverse areas of theoretical and applied psychology with expert guidance. Options include forensic or clinical psychology, cognitive neuroscience, neuroimaging, neuropsychology, social, educational, and developmental psychology. This integrated Master's features research projects in Years 3 and 4, allowing close collaboration with School of Psychology research groups on transformative topics at Nottingham, such as autism, anxiety and mental health, neurodiversity, spatial cognition, addictions, dyslexia, brain imaging, food and eating, and post-traumatic growth.
