About the course

UON is Australia’s leading nuclear medicine trainer. Our graduates are sought after worldwide. In this rewarding and challenging career, you will diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases such as cancer using radioactive substances – giving patients the best chance of living a full and healthy life. What is nuclear medicine? Nuclear medicine technologists conduct nuclear medicine scans of a person’s body using radioactive material called radioisotopes. Radioisotopes are typically ingested or injected, travelling through the affected area to create images of the inside of your body. These images can diagnose life-threatening diseases such as cancer and help monitor a patient’s health.
