About the course

This concentration is tailored for students keen on examining the cultural and social foundations of theatre and performance, alongside courses in acting, directing, design, and participation in University Theatre productions. The TCS program delivers critical, analytical, and historical training essential to a liberal arts education. Both the B.A. and B.G.S. degrees in Theatre, Culture & Society require 40 hours in the major, while the B.A. additionally mandates foreign language, mathematics, and laboratory experience beyond KU Core requirements.
