The Bachelor of Arts program integrates theoretical and practical elements, offering a diverse range of classroom experiences, including courses in film, video, and production.Student projects from media production courses have earned honors at regional, national, and international competitions. In the past two years, the Fiske Guide to Colleges has ranked KU among top institutions for Film/Television, alongside schools like the University of Southern California and New York University. The program is based in Oldfather Studios, a fully operational facility where students develop their artistic skills.
