This course explores the origins of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, highlighting how thinkers, artists, and activists have drawn on these traditions to address historical and contemporary challenges. It includes studies in ethics and the philosophy of religion, such as approaches to the incarnation, alongside in-depth analysis of the Bible in its original languages (Hebrew and Greek) and its ongoing influence today.Students can engage with modules on postcolonial and/or queer theologies, spirituality, and the intersection of religion with science, including topics like climate change and space travel.
