From the first year, students build foundational economic principles and quantitative tools, with options to specialise later, including incorporating applied modules.The degree includes a year-long paid work placement after the second year with top UK employers like the Bank of England or PwC, preparing graduates for careers in the financial sector or as economists in public/private roles. It offers flexibility, choice, and strong career prospects, with 93.8% of 2020 graduates employed or in further study. Note that the course does not award Qualified Teacher Status.
