This dual honours degree examines the interplay between economics and politics, exploring how they shape policy decisions and everyday life. Students will analyse political ideas, institutions, and practices while building essential quantitative and analytical skills. The first year focuses on mathematics, microeconomics, and macroeconomics, followed by the second year where you can select a mix of core and optional modules in both disciplines, with an option for a year-long paid work placement.In the third year, you'll undertake a politics project or dissertation and apply economic skills to contemporary issues through the Economics in Action module.
