Engineering, BEng (Hons)

If you are uncertain about your preferred engineering discipline, consider applying to our general engineering program (entry code: H100). This option enables you to delay selecting a specific discipline until the start of the second semester.This program does not award a general engineering degree. Instead, at the beginning of Year 2, you will transition to one of the following: BEng(Hons)/MEng(Hons) in Chemical Engineering (available only if you have taken Chemistry for Chemical Engineers as an outside option in Year 1), Civil Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Structural and Fire Safety Engineering. Transfers to Electronics and Computer Science may be considered competitively but are not guaranteed, and BEng(Hons)/MEng(Hons) in Structural Engineering with Architecture must be joined directly in Year 1.
