Architecture, MA (Hons)

This programme, offered by the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (ESALA), is structured to deepen your understanding of architecture within cultural and societal frameworks. It incorporates contemporary discussions in architecture, landscape, construction, urbanism, economics, politics, and ethical practice.All students start with the MA (Hons) Architecture programme, choosing at the end of Year 2 between a three-year BA Architecture pathway—suitable for those prioritizing qualification or broader academic exploration—or a four-year MA (Hons) Architecture pathway, which includes options for studying abroad. Both pathways benefit from the expertise of dedicated staff, a vibrant community of artists and scholars, and access to world-class facilities.
