Fine Art, BA (Hons)

On the BA (Hons) Fine Art at Norwich University of the Arts, students cultivate critical thinking, collaboration, independence, and creativity within an ethical, diverse, and sustainable framework. Emphasizing 'learning how to learn,' the course equips learners with resilient skills for contemporary applications and future careers. Key features include introductions to diverse fine art approaches with historical/theoretical foundations, technical workshops, dedicated studio spaces, regular tutorials, and embedded modules in Creative Practice, Careers, Employability, Communication, and Research. Students develop business acumen—promoting/selling work, audience growth, curation, contracts, costing, and presentations—via lectures, tutorials, workshops, studio time, and collaborations with regional, national, and international organizations.Projects with external partners foster transferable skills like problem-solving, communication, emotional intelligence, organization, and teamwork, alongside networking through visiting lectures with artists, curators, academics, and writers.
