The BSc Food Science and Nutrition equips you with essential scientific knowledge in food science and human nutrition, preparing you for diverse careers. You will explore food safety and quality, sensory analysis, new product development, processing and preservation, alongside applied nutrition skills and clinical nutrition.This flexible programme allows specialisation in either BSc Food Science and Nutrition or BSc Human Nutrition, emphasising proficiency in nutrition professions. The Human Nutrition pathway offers eligibility for Direct Entry to the UKVRN at Associate status. Both include a six-week work placement and optional industrial placement for real-world experience. Graduates are primed for roles in product development, quality assurance, procurement, sales, and marketing. The course is accredited by the Association for Nutrition and the Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST).
