Our Criminology and Forensic Science course is delivered by research-active criminologists and seasoned former forensic practitioners, providing a comprehensive understanding of crime study and investigation within the criminal justice system.The programme features two key themes: the criminological aspect explores crime theory, policing in society, and alternatives to imprisonment, while the forensic science component covers scientific principles and practical methods for crime scene and laboratory analysis. Students gain extensive hands-on experience in areas such as analytical chemistry, blood pattern analysis, DNA profiling, and fibre examination. According to the 2019 National Student Survey, 94% of students rated staff explanations highly, and 100% accessed course resources.
