Fine Art and Art History, BA (Hons)

In the contemporary art landscape, traditional boundaries between fine art practices, artists, theorists, and curators are increasingly blurred. This innovative course challenges these divides, enabling students to advance their fine art skills through in-depth exploration of art history and theoretical concepts. It also provides a curating pathway, allowing participants to examine exhibition-making as both an independent pursuit and an artistic method.As an undergraduate program in art theory and practice, the course collaborates closely with BA (Hons) Art History and Curating, sharing teaching resources and fostering joint projects in exhibition development. Delivered by a multidisciplinary team of active artists, historians, curators, and theorists, it emphasizes the integration of studio work with academic study, offers opportunities for foreign language learning, international exhibitions, and study abroad, and maintains strong partnerships with arts institutions and galleries.
