Communication Design, BA (Hons)

The BA (Hons) Communication Design programme offers a dynamic, inclusive, and supportive environment to prepare graduates for 21st-century design careers or advanced studies. Its curriculum features a diverse array of project-based practical and theoretical courses across two semesters annually. In Stages 1 and 2, the focus is on fostering a collaborative learning community, building foundational skills in research, experimentation, and critical thinking, and introducing specialist pathways such as Photography, Graphic Design, and Illustration through Bridging Projects. Additional support includes assessment feedback and insights from industry experts to enhance understanding of professional landscapes.The programme equips students with advanced knowledge for sophisticated research and visual problem-solving, enabling contributions to global communication design while addressing ethical, societal, and environmental issues. It emphasizes collaboration, interdisciplinary learning, and independence, informed by staff expertise. Studio courses provide progressive project experiences with reflection, while Design History and Theory, along with shared programmes, broaden perspectives.
