Optometrists serve as autonomous eye care professionals, working in diverse settings to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage eye health issues, including prescribing optical aids and therapies while providing preventive advice.This rapidly evolving field offers opportunities for further specialisation, such as prescribing medicines independently. Our accredited programme, ranked first in the UK, includes hands-on experience in specialist clinics, extended placements, and pathways to higher qualifications from the College of Optometrists. Upon completion, you'll be eligible to register with the General Optical Council, ready for advanced clinical or research careers.
