Civil Engineering, MEng (Hons), with industry placement

Civil engineers design, build, and maintain essential infrastructure such as buildings, roads, railways, bridges, and water systems that underpin daily life. The MEng pathway offers advanced study in design, management, and multidisciplinary projects.Key features include a year-long industrial placement for hands-on experience in the UK or abroad, professional accreditation by institutions like the Institution of Civil Engineers, which fulfills academic requirements for Incorporated Engineer status and partially for Chartered Engineer. The curriculum, shaped by industry input and delivered by experienced academics, emphasizes design through practical work in specialized facilities. This MEng programme provides a faster route to Chartered Engineer status compared to the BEng.
