Our innovative, practice-based Sports Therapy course enables students to develop specialised skills in the prevention, treatment, management, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries. Grounded in sports medicine and exercise science, it is accredited by The Society of Sports Therapists, ensuring alignment with industry standards. Students learn from a dynamic team of experts, gaining a holistic education that prepares them for careers with professional sports teams, elite athletes, or in private practice treating various musculoskeletal conditions.The curriculum covers essential competencies, including injury assessment, soft tissue therapies, joint mobilisations, rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and trauma management. Compulsory placements across all three years provide hands-on experience with sporting teams and clinics, with an optional 12-month placement available in the UK or abroad. Delivered at our advanced facilities in Edgbaston and the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham, the course benefits from state-of-the-art laboratories and resources, enhanced by recent investments.
