Our extended human nutrition degree offers an in-depth exploration of nutrition, health, and disease, featuring a foundation year to build essential skills for degree-level study. This four-year program has lower entry requirements than our three-year course and equips students with scientific knowledge, communication abilities, and practical insights to understand dietary impacts on health. After the foundation year, which includes academic writing, computing, and introductory subjects, you will follow the same modules as the standard degree.Graduates can pursue careers in healthcare, teaching, research, the food industry, or sports nutrition, with the course accredited by the Association for Nutrition. Taught at our Medway Campus in Chatham Maritime, Kent, this program is ideal for those with ability but without the typical qualifications, serving as a stepping stone to graduation.
All degree courses are made up of modules – individual units of study on different topics. Some modules are compulsory; others can be chosen from a list of options. Our website has full details of your degree structures, module content, and how each module is assessed. The direct link to this course on our website, can be found at the bottom of this page.
