About the course

This four-year dual honours course integrates intensive Japanese language and culture studies with core business management topics, including marketing, organisational behaviour, and strategy. Students begin with foundational language training and business principles, dividing their time evenly between the Management School and the School of East Asian Studies. They gain a unique perspective on Japanese business through immersive learning, culminating in a third-year placement at a Japanese university to build language proficiency, cultural insights, and professional networks. The program is supported by world-leading academics from both schools, with the Management School holding Triple Crown accreditation. Benefits include gaining real-world experience abroad, developing employability skills from day one, and preparing for careers in East Asia through dedicated careers support, workshops, and internship opportunities. This course does not award qualified teacher status.
