At Australia’s leading IT faculty, the Bachelor of Computer Science equips you with the problem-solving, programming and analytical skills you need to drive change and discovery for a better world. Dive deep into both theory and practice, then choose where you’d like to focus your career by specialising in algorithms and software, cybersecurity or data science and AI. Computer scientists are needed in nearly every critical industry – are you ready to meet the demand?
The Data Science and AI specialisation addresses how to capture, manage and use Big Data generated by organisations and science in the information age. It also covers the design and implementation of solutions to perform tasks typically requiring human intelligence, such as problem-solving and perception. Topics range from programming, databases, learning and reasoning to modelling, visualisation and analysis, as well as the legal and ethical issues involved. You will also undertake two additional units from level 3 data science and AI offerings, as well as a relevant full-year project putting the skills and knowledge you gain into action.
