Information systems help people use technology to make the best possible decisions.This degree gives you a comprehensive understanding of the tools and techniques required to manage these complex systems, and creative innovative solutions to information challenges.The Bachelor of Business Information Systems is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) until 2019. Professional registration may require an application to the professional body and may have additional or ongoing requirements beyond the completion of the degree. Please contact the relevant professional body for details.In first year you'll cover key concepts in IT, programming and information systems along with the foundations of management, marketing and accounting. In second and third year you'll go on to study subjects such as the development of information systems and database design. Your third year will involve a year-long industry project, giving you hands-on experience working as part of a team in the planning and development of a medium sized software project.Once you graduate, you'll be ready to work in technology and management across a range of organisations. You could find roles in systems analysis and development, business analysis, and project management.

The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 7.
