About the course

Kingston University's Pharmacy with Preparatory Year is an extended programme designed for those with non-traditional qualifications or a need for foundational support before advancing to the accredited MPharm degree. It offers hands-on training in a state-of-the-art GP simulation suite and hospital ward, alongside a commitment to excellence recognised by a Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Gold rating. The course builds a strong theoretical and practical base in biology, chemistry, and professional skills, preparing students for healthcare roles.Upon successful completion with an average of 70% in science modules (including chemistry), students progress to the MPharm. Assessment involves lectures, seminars, and practical evaluations, with teaching from experts at St George's, University of London. The programme is accredited by the General Pharmaceutical Council, opening pathways to pharmacy or other science degrees.
